"Advisers on Kennedy Library Named"

Anthony Lewiss' article announces the of the Advisory Committee on Arts and Architecture for the realization of the John F. Kennedy library in Boston. The board includes 14 architects from America – Pietro Belluschi, Louis Kahn, I. M. Pei (who later designed the building, inaugurated in 1979), Mies van der Rohe, Hugh Stubbins of Cambridge, Paul Thiry of Seattle, Benjamin Thompson, John C. Warnecke of Washington – and foreign countries – Alvar Aalto, Lucio Costa, Sven Markelius, Sir Basil Spence, Kenzo Tange, and Franco Albini, representing the Italian component.
